Engineering BFs r best ?!
Got this in a mail from a friend…
Very controversial but very true…
Note: Am nt hinting to anybody abt anything nor am i denigrating anybody
Engineer Boyfriends are the best:
1: Secure lifestyle
An engineer boyfriend can provide you with a secure lifestyle. At 27 years old, an engineer probably has a respectable, stable job that gives him high income to own a car, invest, have a comfortable life, and get married and buy a house too. Law graduates are still working as a lowly apprentice in law firm, most management graduates have just failed on their first business plan, the arts graduate is still looking for a job, and the medical school graduate is still living in a hospital.
2: Unmatchable industriousness
An engineer boyfriend will dedicate an unimaginable amount of his time and effort to understand you. Engineers strain really really hard to understand their work. You can believe that they will try really really hard to understand women too, just like how they understand their work, once they believe that you are the one. So even if they don’t understand you initially, they will keep on trying. Even if they still do not understand, they will figure out the correct method to keep you happy ( e.g. buy diamond ring = 1 week’s worth of happiness.) And once they find out the secret formula, they will just keep on repeating it so that the desired results appear. Unlike the Lawyer who will argue with you, the Management graduate who will try to control your spending, the Arts graduate who will ‘change major’, and the medical school graduate who will operate on you. And you know what, it’s really so easy to make engineers believe that you are the ‘one’.
Say that you like one of their projects and they will be hooked to you forever.
3: An engineer boyfriend will never betray your trust.
Let me first tell you what is wrong with the rest of the others – the lawyers will lie about everything, management graduates will cheat your money, the arts graduate will flirt, and you probably just look like another cadaver to the medical school graduate. Your engineer boyfriend is either too busy to have an affair, and even if he does, he is too dumb to lie to you about that.
Hence, an engineer is the most secure boyfriend that you will ever find – rich enough, will keep on trying to understand and please you, has no time for affairs, and too dumb to lie to you.
Conclusion: Engineerz rule !
My opinion:
Point 1 is true. Engineers are secure in this way.
Point 2: Am not too sure abt that bit concerning their ability to understand girls… bt well…
Point 3: I completely disagree with the fact tht he may be dumb koz if he wre, he wouldnt be an engineer in the first place… N well unfaithfulness in a relationship owes to many a reason..
Now let us find ur views on the above…
Cheers!
Note: Am nt hinting to anybody abt anything nor am i denigrating anybody. This is a joke.. so hve a laugh. Nothing mre, nothing less…

The Deadly Python
Our OR lecturer has recently been speaking highly of the Python programming language.
Python is a high-level programming language which has been designed in such a way as to completely emulate the wonders of C/C++ but without the bother of complex syntax and complicated pointers. Python is distributed under an OSI-approved open source licence that makes it free to use, even for commercial products.
Some of its key distinguishing features include (www.python.org):
- very clear, readable syntax
- strong introspection capabilities
- intuitive object orientation
- natural expression of procedural code
- full modularity, supporting hierarchical packages
- exception-based error handling
- very high level dynamic data types
- extensive standard libraries and third party modules for virtually every task
- extensions and modules easily written in C, C++ (or Java for Jython, or .NET languages for IronPython)
- embeddable within applications as a scripting interface
Python is friendly and easy to use. It is powerful and fast and can handle mostly any problem-domain. But right-now, python is being used on a grand-scale specially in the Games Industry (PC games, etc).
To python is attached Pygame, a set of modules designed to be used with python to develop video games. Pygame was written by Pete Shinners – a geek with good intentions – and he actually succeeded in facilitating the lives of game programmers. Pygame has gained so much popularity in so little time, based on the assumption that, most of the complex graphics functions inside a game, can be abstracted from the game logic itself. Thus programmer van concentrate on the game structure.
As mentioned earlier, python boasts of extremely simple syntax, and thus makes a great first programming language to learn programming with.
But as for us, yr-3 CS students who already know the basic rudiments of programming, learning only the if constructs, while loops, variables declarations, etc for us to be able to work out the simple logical OR labsheets we are given in class, is not really constructive work.
Learning python to create magic is a better pursuit than to learn the basics only. However, learning the basics of it will take only an hour… so if u find u have a free hour somewhere, then go get cracking!
Our lecturer will be so proud of u. And of himself too.
So ppl, let the snake in… N we’ll compare results on Wednesday next in the Lab.
Cheerz!
